DO YOU OFFER GLUTEN FREE ITEMS?
We most certainly do. Our entire menu is crafted from scratch and very rarely do any of the menu items contain gluten.
WHERE DOES THE NAME AMILINDA COME FROM?
Amilinda is a combination of chef/owner Gregory Leon’s parents names, Amilcar and Linda. It’s a play on the Spanish phrase”to my beautiful” which is A-mi-Linda. You can read more about Amilinda on the about page.
WHY DON’T YOU SERVE TAPAS OR PAELLA?
When we decided to open Amilinda we wanted to focus on the unique flavors and techniques that originated in Spain & Portugal. Tapas and Paella are two buzzwords that people often use to explain the cuisine of Spain. Spain has so much more to offer than this and that’s where our focus lies.
WHY REQUIRE A CREDIT CARD FOR LARGE PARTIES?
Amilinda’s interior space is limited and large reservations when cancelling last minute can be very damaging to that day’s revenue. For that reason we require a credit card for any parties over 8. Without 24hrs notice of cancellation the card will be charged $100 for parties up to 10. Parties over 10 will be charged $200 and require a 48hrs notice.
WHAT ARE YOUR PARKING OPTIONS?
Street parking is available most days of the week with very little hassle. We also offer parking at the 411 E Wisconsin Ave garage, $2.50 for 3hours. The entrance is on Jefferson Street and more details can be found here.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE LARGE PARTIES?
Our dining room can be configured to seat parties as large as 20 persons during normal dinner service. Private parties are also an option with a restaurant buyout. A credit card is required to make a reservation for a large party (see item 9). Contact us and we can discuss your specific needs.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept cash as well as all major credit cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
WHAT’S WITH THE COLORFUL ROOSTERS?
Galo de Barcelos or the Rooster of Barcelos is one of the most common emblems of Portugal. The legend of the Rooster of Barcelos tells the story of a dead rooster’s miraculous intervention in proving the innocence of a man who had been falsely accused and sentenced to death. THIS ISN’T HOW I HAD THIS DISH IN SPAIN?
Spain is a very large country just like the United States. Guests often think of it as a state without the individual regions that add unique twists and characteristics to a dish. Eating a dish in Madrid does not mean it will be prepared the same way in Valencia or vice versa.
